A peristaltic pump is a type of positive displacement pump that moves fluid by compressing a flexible tube with rotating rollers

Because the fluid only touches the inside of the tubing, these pumps are uniquely suited for keeping liquids sterile, handling aggressive chemicals, or pumping thick sludges without clogging

This pump is manually operated via a clutch mechanism on the gearbox

It has a flameproof on/off motor starter fitted but the motor itself is not flameproof
